Ask Dan Ward
This fertile farm is located less than 100 yards from the Muddy Boggy Creek southwest of Hugo, OK. The farm could be left in production or planted in a combination of grasses and crops to attract wildlife. Several nearby tracts are planted in pecan orchards suggesting this property might also be a good candidate for an orchard. The possibility of irrigation quality water should also be explored due to the proximity of the farm to both the Muddy Boggy Creek and to the Red River. Some research would need to be done, but it may be possible to drill a well or series of wells to flood irrigate the farm with sheet water. By strategically planting crops and flooding them this could be an absolute duck magnet. Numerous duck clubs exist on the Muddy Boggy Creek and many of the birds they attract roost on nearby Hugo Lake. This would make a great addition to a current operation or a great place to start.
The farming is leased through January 1st, 2022. Please do not enter the property without permission.
